What is the primary function of heart valves? Maintain directional blood flow.
What causes heart valves to open and close passively? Pressure changes in the heart.
Where is the tricuspid valve located? Between the right atrium and the right ventricle.
Where is the pulmonic valve located? Between the right valve and the pulmonary artery.
Where is the mitral valve located? Between the aortic valve and the left ventricle.
Where is the Aortic valve located? Between the left ventricle and the aorta.
What is the path of blood flow through the heart? Superior/Inferior Vena Cava>> RA>> Tricuspid valve>> RV >> Pulmonic valve>> Pulmonary Artery>> capillaries in Lungs>> Pulmary veins>> LA>>bicuspid valve >>> left ventricle >> aortic valve >> aorta >> systemic circulation.
