UKCD Referrred Pain

What specific fibers are responsible for relaying pain from the viscery? Visceral afferent fibers.
Trace the pathway of these fibers from the viscera into the CNS. target organ ->visceral afferent fiber ->prevertebral ganglion -> splanchnic n. ->sympathetic (paravertebral) ganglion->white ramus communicans ->ventral ramus _> dorsal root (where cell body of this fiber resides in the dorsal root (spinal) ganglion).
Along what structure is this visceral pain referred and where is it felt? The pain is referred out along the ventral ramus this fiber briefly travels in and is felt in the dermatome supplied by this ventral ramus.
What is meant by proximal-distal referred pain? The injury is proximal to the CNS but the pain is felt distal from the site of injury.
