Unit 2: S.S. Why?

QuestionAnswer
Bill of Rights The U.S. citizens wanted to have rights that were set in stone. This document sttes those rights.
Federalism This was established so that one branch wouldnt have more power over the other.
Confederacy The sourthern states needed a nae to call themselves durig the Civil War.
Articles of Confederation The U.S. government needed laws to live by until they had a stonger government.
Monarchy england had a monarchy, and thats why the colonists rebeled, there was taxation without representation. The colonists didnt want that in their government because thay had bad experiences with that form.
Unitarianism Its was established so that nobody would be persicuted for what they beleive in.
Constitution So that the U.S. would have a better government than the Articles of Confederation.
Seperation of Powers So that one branch/group would have more power than the other.
Checks and Balances So that one branch/group would have more power than the other, and not overtae the others.
Legislative To make the laws and voet on them, so the presedent doesnt have to do it all.
Judcial So that the whole government didnt have o worry about the courts.
Executive So the president could be in charge of a small group in the American governent.
Citizenship So that all the people and put in line and they all feel te need to help eachothr out.
Amendmetns So that the people can change the laws to tailor their personal situation.
Congress To make the laws and vot on the fairly.
Senate So that everyone(every state) could feel equal in the representatives.
House of Representatives So that the aorger states could be pleased beacuse they have all the people.
