Regions

RegionLocation
Umbilical Centermost region, deep to and surrounding the umbilicus(navel)
Epigastric Superior to the Umbilical region (epi=upon,above)(gastric=stomach)
Hypogastric(pubic) Inferior to the Umbilical region (hypo=below)
Inguinal right & left iliac Lateral to the Hypogastric Region (ilic=superior part of the hip bone)
Right & Left Lumbar Lateral to the Umbilical region (lumbus=loin)
Right & Left Hypochondriac Lateral to the Epigastric region and contain the lower ribs (chondro=cartilage)
