Terms for the goverment

Republican Party This party believes-in my opinion-lower tax rates,less food stamps,hard working,etc.
Democratic Party This party believes-my opinion-higher tax rates,more food stamps,free healthcare,etc.
Elephant The Republican Party mascot.
Donkey,Mule,or Ass The Democratic Party mascot
Food Stamps A card you can bring to the store to buy food for free.
Taxes Taxes are the extra money we pay when we buy an object that goes to the goverment.
Healthcare/medicare Insurance paid from taxes given to democrats that will pay the cost of any medical issues.
Candidate A person who is running for an office or place in the goverment.
Election A poll used to decide offices.
Popular vote The vote of each individual voter.
Electoral College Vote The majoraty of who is voted for in the state will be the state's votes.Each state has their own number of votes. Example-Texas:38,Louisiana:8Montana:3. How many votes the state gets depends on the population.The presidental candidate must get 270 college
