Define: Fertility Treatment A medical procedure which aids infertile couples in conceiving
Define: Artificial insemination Where sperm, produced by masturbation, is collected and inserted into the vagina of a woman in hope that she will become pregnant.
Define: AIH (Artificial insemination by Husband) The sperm from artificial insemination comes from the Husband.
Define: AID (Artificial insemination by donor) The sperm from artificial insemination comes from the Husband.
Define: Surrogacy When a woman carries a baby for another couple, where the female is unable to. Sperm from the father is normally used. The baby is given to the couple upon birth
Define: Cloning The scientific method in which plants and/or animals are given exactly the same DNA.
Define: Savior sibling A brother or sister made just so their stem cells can be used to save an ill child.
Define: Embryology (Embryo Research) The study of human embryos. An embryo is a fertilized egg which at 12-14 days is implanted into the wall of a womb.
