First Amendment Freedom of Religion-worship any religion or none, government cannot sponsor religion. Freedom of Speech-speak about whats on your mind, limitations:can't say lies, militious things to people, or slander them. Freedom of Press-print anything/nothing awful.
Second Amenment The right to bear arms-state has a national guard-national, state guard. the right for a person to carry a fire arm/weapon
Third Amendment No quarting soldiers during war or peace time unless permission of the people.
Fourth Amenment Searches and seizes, government must have a warrant: a court order from a judge to search and if the police have propule cause-they can search fr it and its in sight
Fifth Amenment rights of the accused. Due process right-everyone subject to law. Indict-formally accused grand jury meet and show what their accused of. double jeoperody- can't be charged with the same crime.
Eminent Domain Government the power to take personal property to benefit the public- fair compansation must give you a check.
Sixth Amendmet right to speedy fair rial, a trial with the resanable time by the time you are charged to the trial. Fair tria'-witnesses (public) to ensure the precedes are fair trial open to the public, also a trial by peers. Plea bargain- pleas guilty to lesser charge
Seventh Amendmenth Civil suits- people suing other pepople
Eighth Amendment no cruel and unusual punishment. Bail-someone charge with crime from the judge must decide- must pay the courts, garuantee coming back to court
Ninth Amendment Rights reserved to the people, not all your rights are in the constitution.
Tenth Amendmeth power reserved to the states, rights not mentioned in the constitution.
Naturalized Citizen 3 requirements met: have to read and write in english, prononce of language. prove their knowledge of U.S. history, constitution, declaration.. swear an oath of alegence.
Duties of Citizens register for draft: military services (guys) 18-42 yrs(must). Pay taxes. Obey law: if not jail and/or fines. Jury duty if not jail and/or fine.
PAC Political Action Committees. Collect money for canidates. convine people to vote for someone.
Interest groups form any type of organisation, labiast, to pass laws that bebfit their orgnasation. Common interest that motivates them to take political action. Anyone can do this.
