AWANA TNT Bk2 Q1 NIV

What does God say about my home and family?

What does God say about my homDiscovery AnswerDiscovery AnswerSilver AnswerSilver Answer
I am an important member of my family. Proverbs 4:1 Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
Parents teach their children by their words. Psalm 78:4 We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power, and the wonders He has done. Psalm 145:4 One generation will commend Your works to another; they will tell of Your mighty acts.
Children should obey their parents. Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Proverbs 6:20 My son, keep your father's commands and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
Parents teach their children by their actions. Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
I learn to follow rules. Proverbs 1:8-9 Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck. Proverbs 4:1 Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding.
I learn to help others. Galatians 5:13b Serve one another in love. 1 Corinthians 9:19 Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
I learn to care about others. Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
My eternal (forever) home is in heaven. John 14:2 In My Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. John 1:12 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
