Francisco Pizarro | Rumors of another golden empire drew Francisco Pizarro a small group of Conquistadors to the Inca Empire in 1531. |
Atahualpa | After a civil war, Atahualpa won the throne, but war had weaken and divided the empire. |

market economy | One in which prices and the distribution of goods are based on competition in a market. |
mercantilism | An economic policy that promotes building a nation’s strength by expanding its trade |
