Parietal Lobe | Concerned with receiving and interpreting bodily sensations (such as touch, temperature, pressure, and pain); also governs proprioception (the awareness of one's body and body parts in space in relation to each other |

Insula | Plays a role in many different functions, including perception, motor control, self-awareness, and cognitive functioning. |
Thalamus | Relays messages regarding certain complex movements; it also is involved in memory and emotion |
Hypothalamus | Involved in multiple emotional responses, including fear, anger, pleasure, and aggression. |

Pons | Contains cranial nerves (Below the Midbrain) |
Medulla | Relays sensory and motor signals (below the Pons) |
Spinal Cord | Below the medulla |
Cerebellum | Sends messages, balance, posture, coordination |
Cardiac Center | Regulates heart rate |
Vasomotor | Controls blood vessels diameter, affect blood pressure |
Respiratory center | Regulates breathing |
