Stalin was angry because he wanted them to invade the English channel to force Hitler to divert troops from the Soviet Union. |

What was the significance of Doolittle's Raid? | It started to turn the tide against the Japanese, and lifted America's sunken spirits, dampening Japan's. |
In what ways could you compare The Battle of Midway with the Japanese triumph at Pearl Harbor? | The American's knew there was an attack coming both times. Both results were devastating, and many lives were taken in both events. |
Describe the American victories at Iwo Jima and Okinawa and their importance. | Both cost a lot of lives, Iwo Jima only sparing 200 of 20,700 Japanese and 6,000 American marines lives were lost. And Okinawa taking 7,600 Americans and 110,000 Japanese. They gave Allies a taste of how the invasion of the Japanese home islands would be. |
