HGH - Human Growth Hormone | Target: Liver and Other tissue. FUnctions: Stimulates liver, muscle, cartilage, and bone to synthesize and secrete growth factors for body cells, protein synth, lipolysis, and elevation of blood glucose |
TSH - Thyroid Stimulating Hormone | Synth and secretion of thyroid hormones by thyroid gland |
FSH - Follicle Stimulating Hormone | Target: Testes and Ovaries; Action: Females - initiates oocyte production and estrogen secretion. Males - Sperm |
LH - Luteinizing Hormone | Target: Testes and Ovaries; Action: Females - Secretion of estrogens, progesterone, ovulation, formation of corpus luteum. Males - Stimulates testes to produce testosterone. |
