Axonotmesis   Injury causing degeneration of axon and myelin sheath, neurolemma is intact and function will be restored.  
Dysesthesias   Distortion of the sensation of touch  
Hypaesthesia   Atypical decrease in sensitivity  
Hyperaesthesia   Increased sensitivity to touch  
Neuro/neurapraxia   Mild trauma causing local demyelination and temporary loss of function which will recover in days or weeks  
Neurotmesis   Whole nerve axon severed. Total loss of function requiring surgical repair.  
Pare/paraesthesia   Altered sensation such as pins and needles, pricking or burning  
Proprioception   Ability to detect position of body parts
