Their origin is C7-T5. They retract/adduct, elevate, and rotate the scapula. Insertion is the scapula. | Rhomboid muscles with the dorsal scapular nerve

It's origin is Ribs 3-5. It depresses, protracts/abducts, and rotates the scapula. Insertion is the scapula. | Pectoralis minor muscle with the medial pectoral nerve and cervical spinal nerves C7, C8, and T1)

It's origin is Ribs 1-9. It protracts/abducts and rotates the scapula. Insertion is the scapula. | Serratus Anterior (Ventralis) and the Long Thoracic nerve.
