What are legislative reforms? | The process of examining existing laws, and making changes in a legal system, usually with the purpose of enhancing justice or efficiency.

What was a progressive belief? | The basic system of capitalism and democracy was a good one. Progressives were out to fix the system, not to destroy it.

What are Jim Crow Laws? | A series of unlawful anti-black laws.
