| The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) has an obligation to the community to provide | a professional standard of Criminal Justice Training

| To fulfill that obligation, it is essential that personnel be properly trained | not only at the entrance level

| but also as a continuous process | throughout their careers

||||
| Newly hired employees shall receive orientation training | as soon as possible after employment

||||
| This training shall include | Orientation to the Sheriff's Office organization, role, purpose, goals and objectives, policies, and procedures

||||
| Working conditions | and regulations
🗑
|
||||
| Rights and responsibilities | of employees
🗑
|
||||
| Familiarization with the Accreditation process | as it relates to the Sheriff's Office
🗑
|
||||
| The training provided will accommodate the needs and goals | of all Sheriff's Office personnel
🗑
|
||||
| These goals are | Enhance the level of law enforcement service to the community
🗑
|
||||
| Increase the technical expertise | and overall effectiveness of personnel
🗑
|
||||
| Enhance the safety | of officers and the community
🗑
|
||||
| Provide for continued professional development | of department personnel
🗑
|
||||
| The new employee will also be provided | a copy of the Sheriff's Office Mission Statement
