The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) has an obligation to the community to provide   a professional standard of Criminal Justice Training

To fulfill that obligation, it is essential that personnel be properly trained   not only at the entrance level

but also as a continuous process   throughout their careers

Newly hired employees shall receive orientation training   as soon as possible after employment

This training shall include   Orientation to the Sheriff's Office organization, role, purpose, goals and objectives, policies, and procedures

Working conditions   and regulations

Rights and responsibilities   of employees  
🗑
Familiarization with the Accreditation process   as it relates to the Sheriff's Office  
🗑
The training provided will accommodate the needs and goals   of all Sheriff's Office personnel  
🗑
These goals are   Enhance the level of law enforcement service to the community  
🗑
Increase the technical expertise   and overall effectiveness of personnel  
🗑
Enhance the safety   of officers and the community  
🗑
Provide for continued professional development   of department personnel  
🗑
The new employee will also be provided   a copy of the Sheriff's Office Mission Statement
