line   a narrow ridge, usually does not protrude much

trochanter   one of the two bony projections on the proximal end of the femur, attachments for muscle

tubercle   a nodule or small eminence, especially for attachment of a tendon

epicondyle   a rounded projection at the end of a bone, on or above the condyle, place of attachment for ligaments and tendons

spine   a slender, thorn-like projection

sinus   a recess, cavity, or channel

groove   a narrow, linear hollow or depression

fissure   a cleft or groove (usually larger in scale)
