Parliament | The name of the national legislative body in countries government by a parliamentary system, such as Britain and Canada

Bicameral legislation | A legislature made up of two chambers or parts. The United States has a bicameral legislature composed of House of Representatives and the Senate.

Social contract | A voluntary agreement among individuals to create a government and give that government adequate power to secure mutual protection and the welfare of all individuals
