Beringia The land bridge that appeared between Asia and North America
Land Bridge A narrow strip of land that connects two larger land masses.
Ice Age A time period in which much of the Earth was frozen.
Bering Strait The water that presently separates Asia from North America.
Nomads People who have no fixed home and wander from place to place in search of food and other resources.
Migrate To move from one place to another.
Bunk Lies, myths and legends.
Debunk To take the lies, myths and legends out of history.
Primary Source A first hand account from someone who was actually there.
Secondary Source A second hand account from someone who was not actually there.
Geographic Determinism The idea that the geographic features of a place shape the history of that place.
Culture the way of living of a society; their art, beliefs, food, etc.
Inductive Reasoning Looking at a lot of small clues to try and find an answer.
Deductive Reasoning Starting with a few broad categories of knowledge to try and figure out the small details.
Generalization Broad statements about loosely linked facts to put things into categories.
Stereotype Assuming a whole group of people is the same way, based on limited knowledge and usually so that you make that group seem weird.
