What is the Boston Tea Party? The colonists dressed as indians from the Mohawk tribe and dumped tea off of the ships into the Boston Harbor because they were mad at the Tea Act.
What does "no taxation without representation" mean? Colonists will not be taxed unless they have a representative in parliament.
Who is the leader of the Boston Tea Party? Samual Adams
How did Ben Franklin help the colonists? Went to England to talk to parliament to discuss the taxation and representation idea.
What is the Stamp Act? Colonists had to pay a tax on paper goods including newspapers, letters, marriage licenses, and offical documents.
What is the Quartering Act? Colonists had to allow soldiers to stay at their home. All food and supplies were paid for by colonist. The soldier did not have to pay for room and board.
Why did the king and parliament issue all these taxes? To help pay for the French and Indian War and for the soldiers who live in the colonies.

What did the colonists want? To have a say in the government by having elected representatives in Parliament.
Who were the Daughters of Liberty? Women who would weave their own cloth instead of buy it from Britain. They protested the Townshend Acts.
What is the Townshend Act? It replaced the Stamp Act after it got repeald. It is the new tax on tea, glass, and paint.
Why did Britain create the Sugar and Stamp Act? to pay for the French and Indian War.
Who won the French and Indian War? The British.

Describe the Boston Tea Party. Colonists protested the Tea Act by dunmping tea into Boston Harbor. Can you tell more details?
Describe the battle of Lexingtion and Concord. These were the first battles of the American Revolution. The Milita fought back and won at Concord. Can you explain more?
Why did the colonies start to work together? The British were causing disagreement with their taxes. This affected all the colonies. They all wanted to be free from British rule.
Why are the colonists upset at the taxes? Use examples of Sugar Act, Stamp Act, Tea Act, Intolerable Act, Quartering Act, REPRESENTATION.
What is the Committee of Correspondace? colonists work together to oppose british actions.
What effect did the Proclamation of 1763 have on the colonists? They were upset because they wanted to farm or trade in that area.

What happened at Bunker Hill/Breed's Hill? American colonists built fort on Breed's hill. British fight Colonists until they run out of ammo. British win.
What is the Contiental Congress? Colonists send delegates to meet together to discuss the new taxes and laws. They usually send a letter to King George III and Parliment to stop and repeal them.
What is the Olive Branch Petition? The Colonists "Hail Mary" for peace. Their last plea for peace with Britain.
