What is foreign policy? The diplomatic policy one nation has with another nation
What are ambassadors? Representatives of a particular country
What is executive privilege? The principle that members of the executive branch of government cannot legally be forced to disclose their confidential communications when such disclosure would adversely affect the operations or procedures of the executive branch.
What is an administration? The group that is in charge of policy making
What is the executive branch? The branch of government responsible for carrying out laws
What is a cabinet? A board of people that are chosen to advise the President
What is bureaucracy? Administration based on groups or bureaus/departments
What are executive agreements? An agreement made between the executive branch of the U.S. government and a foreign government without ratification by the Senate
What is domestic policy? Policy that each nation sets to govern themselves.
What is one example of the President's legislative powers? Presenting the State of the Union message to Congress
What is an example of a President's judicial powers? Choosing a supreme court justice
What is the executive department that carries out foreign policy? The Department of State
Who is in charge of setting standards for products in your own house? The CPSC
When was the Department of Homeland Security created? After the terrorist attacks in 2001
What was the effect of Nixon refusing to turn over Watergate tapes? He discredited his name and resigned
Who does the President need approval from to appoint a Supreme Court Justice? Congress
Who is the most important representative of the US? The President
