Congress A meeting of representatives who have the authority to make decisions.

Massacre Killing of people who cannot defend themselves.
Committee of Correspondence Committees set up to write letters to each other to stay informed.
Blockade Using warships to prevent other ships from entering or leaving a harbor.
Continental Congress The first meeting of Congress held on the North American continent.
Rights Freedoms
Minutemen Fighters that could be ready to fight in a minutes' notice.
Patriot Colonists that were against the British.
