What were the main jobs of Puritan women and girls? They cooked, baked, sewed, quilted, churned butter and prepared foods for winter.
Why was the meetinghouse the center of village life? It was where the church services were held.
How did the women prepare food for the winter? They dried or picked fruits and vegetables.
Describe the Puritans church service. The minister was to make sure that people lived their lives in the way Puritan leaders thought was right.

Besides, farming, what other means did they have for providing food? They raised cattle, hogs and sheep.
