How did the Johnson plan differ from Radical Reconstruction? Johnson wanted everyone to join the Union. Others did not.
What does the differences in the plans suggest? Radical Reconstruction was afraid of letting Confederates join the Union.
At the end of the Civil War, what were the challenges the nation faced? Much of the South lay in ruin, homeless needed shelter and food, hatred between two regions.
