What parts does the Declaration of Independence have in it? a preamble, a protection of natural rights, a list of grievances against the king, and the declaring independence.
What were the two different colonists called? Patriots an Loyalists
What happened during the Battle of New York? The British pushed Washington back until he completely abandoned New York, and also pushed them across New Jersey.
What were Nathan Hale's famous words? "I only regret that I have but one live to lose for my country."
Who did the british hire as mercenaries? The Hessians
What happened during the Crossing of the Delaware? Washington put a surprise attack on the Hessians on Christmas night by crossing the Delaware in small rowboats.
How did Washington 'trick' the British? he put campfires were their original camp was and the British opened fire on the camp, wasting their ammo, while Washington again surprise attacked them.
Who allied America? The French and Spanish, even Poland
What happened at Valley Forge? The soldiers were undersupplied there, and got chills and fever, they had to eat a thin soup, and had to "cook it on a rock". They were sent help,

Who were privateers? Colnists the were basically legalized pirates.
