What does SILT mean? A mixture of rich soil and tiny rocks.
What does DIVISION OF LABOR mean? The type of an arrangement in which each worker specializes in a particular task or job.
What is a SCRIBE? A Writer.
What was Cuneiform? The world's first system of writing.
What was the WHEEL? The wheel was one of the first inventions made from a Sumerian.
What is a CHARIOT? A wheeled horse-drawn cart used in battle.
What is a MONARCH? A ruler of a kingdom or empire.
What is ARCHITECTTURE? The science of building.
What are PICTOGRAPHS? Picture symbols.
What is an EPIC? Long poems that tell the stories of heroes.
What does SURPLUS mean? More than needed.
What does IRRIGATION mean? A way of supplying water to an area of land.
What is a CANAL? Human-made waterways.
What does RURAL mean? A countryside area.
What does URBAN mean? A city area.
What is an EMPIRE? A land with different territories and peoples under a single rule.
What is POLYTHEISM? A worship of many gods.
What is a PRIEST? A person who performs religious ceremonies.
What is SOCIAL HIERARCHY? The division of society by rank or class.
What is a ZIGGURAT? A pyramid shaped as a temple tower.
What ia an ALPHABET? Is a set of letters that can be combined to form words.
