3. Proclamation Act (1763) | An act made by Parliament preventing colonits from settling past the Apps Made colonists angry |
4. Samuel Adams | Believed British needed representation from America to tax colonist Organized SoL, very vocal against British Helped spread word of Boston Massacre |
5. Boycott | To refuse to buy items as a form of protest Temporaily effective in having Parliament repeal taxes |
6. Stamp Act 1765 | Act forcing colonist to buy stamps for all paper items First attempt to tax them directly=angry |
7. Repeal | To officialy remove an act-done on several taxes on Americans Showed colonist had some influence |

19. Thomas Jefferson | Wrote Declaration of Independnce, Wrotte Virginia Statue for Religious Freedom, Father of Univeristy of Virginia, Bought Louisiana Purchase |

21. Patriots | A group of Americans that wanted to break away from Britain 40%-45% |
22. Loyalists | A group of Americans wanting to stay with Britain 20%-30% |
