Boston Massacre1770* Colonists called the shootings.Many Bostonians saw the presence of British government against its critics in Massachusettts.Some colonists agreed with Samuel Adams "I LOOK UPON(BRITISH SOLDIERS)AS FOREIGNENEMIES."Soldiers knew they were not welcome.
Boston Tea Party 1773* After dumping 340 tea chests into Boston Harbor,the colonists headed home to remove their disguises.British officials knew that the colonial demand for tea was high despite the boycott.But colonial merchants were smuggling most of this imported tea.

Declaraton OF Independence July 4,1776* It ignored many colonists.Th e revolution raised questions about wheter slavery should exist in a land that valved liberty.The document written to declare the colonies free from british rule.
Patriots Chose to fight for Independence.Historians estimate that 40-45% of AMericans were patriots,while 20-30% were loyaltits.Loyaltists and patriots bacame opponents.
Loyalists Sometimes called Tories were those who remained loyal to Great Britain.More than 50,000 Loyalists fled during the Revolutio.The Great Patriot Benjamin Franklin had a Loyalists son.
