Frigate- Warships that would be curently sailing on the ocean
Privateer- A ship that has all kinds of weapons on it it is used for war it is only for people who have a permit for it and it is a private ship.
Hartford convention- This is when some English people went to Connetticut and talked about their opinions on James madisons war.
Battle of new orleans- In this battle the americans won and it helped Andrew Jackson especially because for his win in the election in 1828
Treaty of ghent- American and British representatives in 1814 signed a peace treaty to one another and it was called the treaty of ghent.
Francis scott key- He was a young attorney who wrote the star spangled banner in the year of 1931 and it eventually became the National Anthem.
Dolley Madison- This girl was born in NC she married a guy named John Todd Jr then she had two children but then one of the children and her husband died in the yellow fever outbreak. Then she got married again to James Madison and was a non official first lady.
Andrew Jackson He was a planter in Tennessee in 1814 his troops slaughtered more than 550 people down at a creek.
Battle of horseshoe bend- Andrew Jackson had a group of men who worked for him. The warriors attacked the creeks people and they surrendered and ended up haviing to give most of their land to the united states.
Oliver Hazard Perry He was the head of the naval officers in lake erie and in september 10 1813 he deafeted the british naval officers.
Battle of thames- This battle was on october 5th when the leader of the battle Tecumseh was killed.
