What was the Boston Massacre and how did it affect the colonists' reaction to the British government? Some colonists started to taunt the British soldiers and then the British soldiers shot one of the colonists. It made the colonists hate the soldiers even more
How did the Tea Act help the East India Company? It let them go straight from Asia to America so they wouldn’t have to pay the taxes in England
Why were some colonists opposed to the Tea Act? They thought it was a trick to stop them from boycotting
How did the British Government react to the colonists protest? They made the Intolerable Acts
What were the four parts to the Intollerable Acts? They closed the port of Boston until colonists paid for the destroyed tea, they increased the power of the MA royal governor and weakened the state legislature, the colonists had to quarter the British soldiers
How did the colonists in Boston oppose the Tea Act? They threw the tea overboard
What are writs of assistance and how were they used during the Townshend Acts? Writs of assistance were general search warrents. They were used to search any building for any reason.
What were the four parts to the Intollerable Acts? Continued.. Any British sodiers could be tried in England
