Tea Act(Boston Tea Party) Colonists saw that the townshend acts was another reason of taxation without representation so they threw 1 million dollars worth of tea over board
Continental Congress Each state sent a representative to congress.First one agreed to boycott british troops.
Declaration of Independence A document that declares independence from Britain. States the complaints against Braitain.
Puritans religious group seeking religous freedom
Thomas Jefferson His voice helped shape our nation. He was the main author of the declaration of independence and was the third president.
Boston Massacre A riot that happened between british soldiers and Patriots
Patriots they are loyal to the colonies
Loyalists they are loyal to Britain
