QuestionAnswer
Patriots Colonists who wished to be independent from Britain.
Loyalists Colonists who served Britain and the king.
Stamp Act A tax put on colonists on all paper goods. This was taxation without representation, which made colonists very angry.
Intolerable Acts This was passed due to the Boston Tea Party. It leads to a military takeover of Massachussetts.
Quartering Act The Quartering Act required all colonists to provide food and shelter for British troops.
Boston Massacre A group of colonists begin harrassing British troops. Things get quickly out of hand, and the British open fire. It kills five colonists. It was also the first time British open fire on colonists.
Boston Tea Party Colonists raid Boston Harbor throwing overboard $1,000,000 worth of tea.
