QuestionAnswer
What is Ecology? The scientific study of interactions among organisms and their environment, or surroundings.
What is Biosphere? A large house that contains the combined portions of the plant in which all of life exists, including land, water, and air or atmosphere.
What is Species? A group of organisms so similar to one another that they can breed and produce fertile offspring.
What is Population? A group of individuals that belong to the same species and live in the same area.
What is Community? Assemblages of different populations that live together in a defind area.
What is Ecosystem? A collection of all the organisms that live in a particular place, together with their nonliving, or physical, enviroment.
What is a Autosphere? Use energy to fuel the assembly of simpile organic compounds into complex organic compounds.
What is a Heterotroph? Organisms use chemical energy to produce carbohydrates,and is performed by several types of bacteria.
What is a Food Web? A Network OF COMPLEX INTERACTIONS FORMED BY THE FEEDING RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THE various organisms in an ecosystem.
