What are the barrier islands called along the coast of NC? Outer Banks.
What is the tallest mountain in NC? Mt. Michel.
What county is the largest mountain in NC in? Yancey County.
What is the largest man-made lake in NC? Lake Norman.
What is the largest natural lake in NC? Lake Madmusket.
What is NC's largest city? Charotte
What is NC's second largest city? Raleigh
Which NC river flows directly into the Atlantic? Cape Fear River.
Which river flows North out of NC? New River
What is the five main Indian tribes in NC? The Hatteras, Chowanoc, Tuscurora, Catawba and Cherokee.
Which tribes were connected by the Iroquoi? Cherokee and Tuscarora.
Which tribes spoke the Algonquian Language? The Hatteras and the Chowanoc.
Who sent the expedition to NC in the late 1500's trying to esablish a colony? Walter Raleigh.

How were the Aztecs so easily conquered? They thought the Spanish were their gods, diseased from England, the Spanish had horses and guns.
How were the Incas so easily conquered? Dependunt on their ruler, Pizuno kidnapped their ruler. Made them pay with gold, then killed him.
What were the main goal(s) of the Spanish in the New World? Find new land, Gold and convert indians to Christianity.
What was the main goal(s) of the French in the New World? Land, to trade fur.
What were they goal(s) of the English in the New World? New land, for colonies, expand the Empire.
Christianity is divided into two main branches, what are they? Catholic, Protestant
What teo reasons did the Kind of Spain want to marry Elizabeth I? To expand the empire by rule of Spain, covert Catholic.
What was the larde group of Spanish ships called that attacked England? The Spanish Armada.
