Magna Carta A very old document that limited the power of English Kings, basically saying they had to follow laws
Parliament A group of nobles who represented the needs of their towns/cities/areas to the King. The members of Parliament were not elected, and were usually Lords and Nobles who inherited their power from their parents.
House of Burgesses a meeting place where people would debate about laws for their colony
Mercentalism Britain took raw materials from America, turned it into finished goods, and sold it back to Americans for big $$
French and Indian War War between Britain and France (and their Native American allies) for control of Ohio River Valley. Britain won.
Triangular Trade 1)Goods from Europe went to Africa, where they were traded for Slaves. 2)Slaves went to America, where the were traded for tobacco and molasses, which were then 3)traded back to Britain.
