What did he want to bring together? French and English society.
Why did people primarily vote for him? Manitoba was only going to educate in English.
Who did the Quebecers vote out? The Conservatives (they did nothing).
What did his election start? The beginning of a multi-culturalism in Canada.
What was different about this era? Their was prosperity, primarily by the Yukon gold rush.
What was the CPR used for in his/this time? To head out west, making settlement boom.
Where were immigrants coming from? Europe
