What was the role of the Article of Confederation? They could not tax, Could not regulate trade, each state had one vote and that vote was a unanimous vote.
What did the Constitutional Convention Change? the Constitution.
Who was the President of the Constitution? George Washington
Who was the oldest person at the convention? Ben Franklin
What was supposed to happen with all of the proceedings of the convention? They were to be kept secret.
What is democracy? Government by the people.
What is a Republic? we elect representatives to govern over us.
Why do we have a limited government? Because we have a written Constitution.
What is a Written Constitution? A set of written Rules.
What were the federalist in charge of? -Enumerating powers -Making Coin Money -Declare Wars -Form Military Forces -Regulate foreign & interstate Trade -Create Federal Courts
What are the 3 Reserved Powers? -Education -Marriage/Divorce Laws -Regulates Intrastate Trade
What are the 4 Concurrent Powers? -Powering Law Enforcement -Taxing -Borrow Money -managing infrastructure
what is infrastructure? Those things a nation needs to operate and provide for its people.
What is public Welfare? Wanting americans to be wealthy.
What is the 3/5th's compromise? It is a compromise that will count 3 out of 5 slaves as population.
