Nixon elected elected in 1968 and in 1972.
Negotiations with North Vietnam Nixon and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger were holding secret negotiations with North Vietnam.
End of War 1973. American prisoners were repatriated though a number are still MIA. US troops withdrew from Vietnam.
Resigned in 1974 during Watergate investigation.
Spiro Agnew Nixon's vice president. Resigned in 1973.
Gerald Ford replaced Spiro Agnew as VP and then Nixon as President.
Economy during Nixon years Deteriorated. Expensive Great Society and Vietnam War were costly.
