End to school segregation Ordered in 1955 by Supreme Court.
Military sent by Governor in Little Rock ordered National Guard to prevent minority students from entering high school
Troops sent to Little Rock by President Eisenhower Sent troops, nationalized Guard and the Little Rock nine entered school.
Montgomery Bus Boycott 1955. Led by Dr. Martin Luther King jr.
Supreme Court and bus segregation 1956. Supreme Court found that bus segregation was unconstitutional.
