Continent one of the main landmasses of the globe
Lowland land that is low or level, in comparison with the land close to it
Highland elevated region, may contain plateaus or mountains
Erosion the process by which the surface of the earth is worn away by the action of water, glaciers, winds, etc
Flatlands region of land that is flat with little to no elevation
Interior located on the inside of something
Rugged rough, not smooth
Isolated not connected to anything else
Fertile capable of producing vegetaion, crops, etc abundantly
River a natural stream of water of fairly large size flowing in a definite course
Lake a body of fresh or salt water of considerable size, surrounded by land
Gulf a portion of an ocean or sea partly enclosed by land
Bay a body of water forming an indentation of the shoreline
Plains an area of land that is not significantly higher than its neighboring land
Plateau raised land with a level surface, often cut by deep canyons
Island land completely surrounded by water, but not big enough to be a continent
Peninsula an area of land surrounded by water on three sides and still connected to the mainland
