What did earlier imigrants speak. They spoke english.
What would your relitives do if they lived in America. They would send you money and give you housing and jobs when you got to America.
What gave immigrants hardships. It gave immigrants hardships because they were poor.
What happended in 1882. The congress voted to stop chinese immigration.
What happened in 1917. The congress voted to require immigrants to pass a reading test.
What were the results of the immigration laws. Immagration slowed down and immagrants still had racism.
What kind of place did immigrants live in in America. The immagrants lived in crowded tenements in New York .
