Immagration to America

QuestionAnswer
From where did most immigrants come? Southern Europe, Russia, Poland and Germany
How where earlier Immigrants different from later immigrants? The earlier ines settled on farms and the later ones settled on Ellis Island.
Why did the Immigrants come? They came because of Economic Problems and Political Problems.
Why could most Immigrants not speak English? They couldn't speak English because they spoke Yiddish,Russian and Polish in there home towns.
Where did earler immigrants come from? G.B and Germnay
What language did earlier Immigrants speak? English
The Immigrants came to the U.S with what things? Famly Portrits and Money
When the Immiagrants came over to America where did they live? They lived in stetls and tenements
They settled with who? They settled with others similar to themeselves.
What were immigrants when they came to America? they were poor
What kind of neghborhood did they live in? Italian and Jewish Neighborhoods.
What did many children suffer from? Racism
What was one of the results of the Immigration laws? Immigration to the US slowed down
What was the other result? Immigrants countinued to expeirience racism of the lands of native born American.
What were some Japenese not allowed to do? Own Property
