Lincoln's 10% Plan Proclamation of Amnesty attempted to solve issues with Confederate officials and bring them back to the Union.

The Ku Klux Klan White terrorist group that targeted blacks and whites that wanted civil rights.
Impeachments of President Johnson Nov.2 1867 because of complaints and failed. Mar.5, 1868 because of removal of Secretary of War Stanton and failed by one vote.
Plessy v Ferguson (1896) Case approval of "SEPARATE BUT EQUAL".
Jim Crow Laws "SEPARATE BUT EQUAL" that last middle of 20th Century.
