Life in the English Colonies

A movement in the 1700's that spread the idea that reason and logic could improve society. The Enlightenment
A philosopher who thought that people had natural rights such as equality and liberty. John Locke
War between England and France. The Native Americans fought with the French against England and the colonies. French and Indian War
The treaty than ended the French and Indian War. The Treaty of Paris
An Ottawa chief who brought Native Americans together to stop European settlements in America. Pontiac
