| Stamp act of 1765 | a law passed by the Parliament that raised tax money by required colonist to pay for a stamp on paper. |
| Sons of Liberty | A secret society formed in Boston that used many method, including violence, to frighten tax collectors and resist British law. |
| Stamp act Congress | A meeting of representatives from nine colonist to protest the Stamp Act who declared that the Stamp Act was a violation of the colonies rights and liberties. |
