What is a nickname for this clause? Elastic clause or the basket clause
Why is this clause a good thing or a bad thing? it can be good because if the law just keeps cicling around, congess can put an end to it. it can be bad because congress can vote on a law that no one likes and make it a law
What are the qualifications to be a member of the House of Representatives? you have to have been a US citizen for 7 years have to be at least 25 you have to live in the stae you want to be elected in
What are the qualifications to be a memeber of the senate? US citizen for 9 years 30 years old and you have to live in the state you wanna be elected in
Which chamber is based on population? House of Represtatives
Which chamber is based on equal representation from each state? Senate
How many members make up the House of representatives? 435

How long is a term of office for a senator? 6 years
How long is a term of office for a member of the House of Representatives? 2 years

What was the Virginia plan? made the house of representatives based on populaion
What was the New Jersey Plan? made the senators based on having equal representation
What was the Great Comprimise? when the founding fathers made the House of Representatives based on population (bigger states) and the senate based on equal representation (smaller states)
What was the 3/5 Compromise? the south felt cheated so they wanted to count their slaves for population but the north said that the slaves couldn't vote so they shouldn't be counted ending in every five slaves being one-two people
