What was the Fugitive Slave Act An order all citizens of the return of enslaved people who had escaped from their owners
What was Reconstruction? The period after the Civil War where the nation rebuilt the South
What were the good things of Reconstruction? It rebuilt the south, gave freedom and rights to African Americans, had the Fourteenth Amendment and Fifiteenth Amendment passed, elected black leaders, granted the african americans the right to vote
What were the bad things of Reconstruction? African Americans had black codes, there was corruption in government
Who was the KKK? A group of white males that spread fear throughout the African American community through violence
Who was Custer? A general who's whole army was killed by Crazy Horse in an hour after invading the Black Hills and started the Indian-American Wars
Who was Sitting Bull? A cheif of the Souix tribe who proposed to make war and not peace upon the American invaders
Who was Crazy Horse? Another cheif of the Souix tribe who fought the Americans
What was the Populist Movement? Followers of the People's Party that demanded radical changes in federal economic and social policies
What was the Battle Of Wounded Knee The last major Indian-American battle where more than 200 Souix were killed
What was the Sherman-Anti-Trust-Act? A law that outlawed any combonation of comapanies that restrained interstate trade or commerce
What were Captains of Industry? A term that said that business leaders served their nation in a positive way.
What were Robber Barons? A term that implied that business leaders built their fortunes by stealing from the public
What were Radicals? The Republicans that beleived that the Civil War had been fought over the moral issue of slavery
Who was General Mclellan? The commander before Grant who's magic number of forces was 100,000 or 10,000 or 1,000
