November 15, 1777 First governing document of the United States. Weaknesses such as taxation and control over states led to demise. Articles of Confederation
Initially only planned to “fix” the Articles of Confederation. Later wrote the Constitution. Constitutional Convention
Trouble to agree with Representatives in Congress. Either to have an equal number per state, or a Congress based on population size of state. Decided on “Great Compromise” which took both ideas. This is how we have House of Representatives, and Senate. Great Compromise
