Fredonian Rebellion revolt led by Texas colonist Benjamin Edwards that began in 1826 after conflict with Mexican government ended in the cancellation of his colony's contract.
guerrero decree Law issued by Mexican president Vicente Guerro in 1829 that abolished slavery in Mexico thatresulted in upset and arguments that their businesses depend on slavery.
law of april 6, 1830 Law issued by Mexican government banned U. S. immigration to Texas and made it illegal to import slaves into Texas. It suspended all unfilled emprassario contracts, and taxed all US imports coming into Texas.
Resolutions Statements that express opinions
Turtle Bayou Resolution Document that declared events at anahuac not a rebellion against Mexico. Defended their rights and suported the constitution of 1824. It also supported General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna
reforms Changes in poilcy intended to improve a condition.

consultation Meeting held in November 1835 in which Texans debated the issue of war with mexico and adopted the Declaration of Nov. 7th, 1835.
faction a group acting together within a larger group, usually in opposition.
Convention of 1832 Meeting of Texans in which delegates adopted several reforms to present to mexican government including allowing immigration from the US and allowing Texas to become a state seperate from coahilia.
Convention of 1833 meeting of texans impatient with the lack of reform in Mexican policy toward texas. Delegates sent Steven F Austin to Mexico City to present their proposed reforms.
Mier y Teran's observations Mexican influence decreased the more you moved north and east. Settlers from US outnumbered Tejanos 10 to 1. Warned american influence particularly in the east was growing everyday.
Mier Y Teran's recommendations Trade between Texas and mexico increased. Soldiers were needed in Texas to regain mexican control. Mexico should encourage more European and mexicans to settle in Texas.
Santa Ana violated constitution of 1824 by strehgthing the central government's powers. Under this system (centralism) al the governing power was centralized in the hands of the national government.
federalism system of government that balances powers by distributing them between one central and many regional governments.
