Fascism/Fascist this is a 20-century form of totalitarian dictatorship that requires that people give total subordination to the service of the state and unquestioning loyalty to its leader.
Fasces the Italian symbol used by the Romans to show unity
Nazi member of the German National Socialist Workers Party, organized by Adolf Hitler
Swastika The Nazi symbol
Dictator Strong leader with complete control over people and they maintain power by strong militaries
Totalitarianism State this is when a system of government in which all social, political, economic, intellectual, culural, and spiritual activities are subordinated to the purposes of the rulers of a state.
Aggression warlike act by one country against another without just cause.
Appeasement practice of giving in an agressor nation's demands in order to preserve the peace
Re-armament when a country is banned from arms but then is given arms for war or protection.
anchluss this is German for Union which was stated by Hitler when he said to have union with Austria
Der Fuhrer this is the name Hilter gave himself which means Supreme Ruler
Il Duce this is Italian for The Leader.
Blitzkrieg this German for Lightning War because this was Hitlers attack method
Cash and Carry this is when something is bought then the person or country who bought it must get some sort of transportation to carry it back to their location. the French did so when they brought ships to the US to carry back supplies back to France
Aryan Race/master race Hitler believed that the German race was the master race or the best race or the superior race
Axis powers these were the nations that fought the Allies in World War II. They were Germany, Italy, and Japan
Allied Powers the Nations that fought against the Axis powers. the Allied Powers were France, Russia, Britain, and The United States
Mein Kampff this was a book written by Hitler that ment My Struggle which showed that he was anit-semitic and anti-communist
Wolf Pack this was a group of U-boats from Germany which whenever a boat would come by they would group together and then attack.
Reistag this was the Parliment in Germany
Maginot Line this was a border the France used to keep Germany out and to protect themselves
The Third Reich this was the Rule of Germany like the third Roman Empire
Luftwaffe This was the German Air force
RAF (Royal Air Force) this was the British Air Force
Concentration Camps these were prison camps where the people imprisoned there were totured, starved and murdered. in WWII, there were Nazi concentration camps where many Jews were killed.
radar this was a new invention used by the British pilots to detect the aprroach of enemy planes and shot down thousands
